Job Description

The Personal Support Worker is responsible for providing quality care to our clients in hospital and private care settings. Duties and Responsibilities:

• personal care
• assisted feeding
• companionship
• monitoring safety
• possible light meal preparation/housekeeping

Skills and Abilities:

• excellent communication skills
• caring and compassionate
• must speak, read and write English fluently
• flexible and must be able to work weekends
• access to a vehicle not mandatory but an asset

Experience and Education Required:

• must have 1500 hours minimum clinical experience in an acute care setting within the past 2 years
• holds a current PSW certificate through a program approved by the Ministry of Training colleges and Universities or from a Registered Private Career College
• must hold a current BCLS-CPR certificate
• must hold a current N95 Respirator Mask Fit test card
• Communicable disease immunization status must be up to date
