There is no place like home. At Care at Home we offer personal support assistance for seniors and individuals wishing to live in the comfort their own home safely and with dignity. This peace of mind is priceless.

Immediate Need: Client needs assistance with daily living activities. She is recovering from kidney failure and needs to remain in bed until she gets better. We are looking for someone to start in 3 weeks. Hours will be part time on a casual basis and are flexible.

If you enjoy helping others and have demonstrated care and respect for seniors and individuals, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for staff who have proven communication skills, patience, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and initiative. Safety comes first, if you take pride in maintaining a safe and healthy environment, share examples with us. Also, If you have gone above and beyond the expectations of your clients and community we are very interested in talking with you.

Qualifications:

·Experience with people from different cultures and nationalities, Cultural or diversity training is an asset.

·Or equivalent work experience caring for seniors or individuals.

·First-Aid and CPR training, mandatory.

·Valid driver’s license, is an asset.

·Languages: Ability to speak, read and write in English is mandatory. 2nd language is preferred.

·Experience working with persons with disabilities is an asset.

·Criminal Reference Check and immunization record will be required.

·Health and safety experience is an asset.

Description of Work:

· Non medical Personal Care (assist with feeding and/or cooking meals, dressing, walking, etc)

·Personal Hygiene (helping clients with bathing/sponge bath, toileting, grooming, etc)

·Light Housekeeping

·Comfortable working with multiple types of clients in varying environments (with seniors in long-term care centres or in clients households)

·Be able to complete repetitive tasks, lift up to 40lbs, work with a team environment, problem solving skills, attention to detail, decision making skills, etc
